Wood-Fired Sauna at Mytholmroyd Community Centre

Sauna in the traditional way wood-fired, well-ventilated and deeply warming. This outdoor sauna is set beside Mytholmroyd Community Centre in the Calder Valley, offering a relaxed, community-led sauna experience with beautiful hill-top views. Built in a vintage horse box style, the sauna is eco-minded, off-grid, and heated by a wood-burning stove for a steady, enveloping heat. Cold-water options are available on site, including showers, barrels, and a vintage-style bath. Plunges use tap-cold water, meaning temperatures are naturally seasonal cooler in winter, milder in summer just as they are in Finland. If cold immersion isn’t for you, guests are welcome to cool off outdoors instead. Sessions are friendly, inclusive, and beginner-welcoming, making this an ideal place to experience sauna whether it’s your first time or part of a regular ritual. Community centre facilities are available for sauna users, including free parking, indoor changing rooms, and showers. With cafés, bars, and riverside walks nearby, it’s easy to make a day of it. 🕒 Session Times & Booking Sauna sessions run at fixed times set by the host.
