Water Safety
For pools, hot tubs, cold-water dips & open-water experiences
- Follow all rules or guidance provided in your host’s listing
- Enter and exit the water slowly, especially in cold conditions
- No diving unless clearly permitted
- Children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times
- Avoid entering the water under the influence of alcohol or drugs
- Use care when walking on wet or uneven surfaces
- For open-water coaching, always follow your coach’s safety instructions
Cleanliness & Hygiene
- Hosts are expected to maintain high water quality and cleanliness
- Water is treated or refreshed regularly depending on the space
- Towels, showers or changing areas may be provided — check the listing
- If anything feels off (water clarity, temperature, cleanliness), inform your host or SwimNest
Families & Children
- Many SwimNest spaces are family-friendly — always check suitability in the listing
- Constant supervision of young children is essential
- Bring appropriate flotation aids if needed (unless your host provides them)
- Take extra care around water edges, steps, and slip-prone areas
- Please respect quiet times to avoid disturbing neighbours
Respect Local Guidelines
- Be mindful of noise, especially in residential areas
- Keep guest numbers within booking limits
- If rules or signage are displayed on-site, follow them
- Smoking or glass near the water is typically not permitted
Emergencies
- In case of emergency, call 999 (UK) or your local emergency service
- Hosts are encouraged to provide a first aid kit
- Know where exits are and follow any emergency instructions
