Modern Coastal Guesthouse with Hot Tub & Garden
This two-storey guesthouse is a modern extension (built in 2019) to the main house, originally built in 1852. It offers a calm and comfortable base, well placed for exploring both the coast and countryside. On the ground floor, there are two comfortable bedrooms alongside a bright bathroom. Upstairs, the open-plan kitchen, dining and living space is light and airy, with high ceilings and doors opening directly onto a private, decked garden. The guesthouse is fully self-contained and thoughtfully set up for a relaxed short stay. While it sits alongside the main house, it has its own entrance, private outdoor space and a private parking area in the courtyard, comfortably fitting up to three cars. A washer and dryer are available at the main house upon request. Outside, the deck provides a simple, inviting space to unwind, with a hot tub and BBQ for guests to enjoy. A third sleeping area is located in a small attic space, accessed via a ladder through a hatch. This area contains two mattresses and is best suited to older children or adults, and is not suitable for young children. The pebble beach is just over half a mile (around 0.8 km) away on foot, with a scenic seafront path running from Hythe through Seabrook and on to Folkestone. The route is flat and easy, with plenty of places along the way to stop for coffee, lunch or a drink, making it an enjoyable coastal walk. The Royal Military Canal is also close by, around a half-mile (approximately 0.8 km) walk from the house. Built in the early 1800s as part of Britain’s coastal defences, the canal now offers a quiet setting for gentle walks, with long stretches of water, wildlife and open surroundings to enjoy.
