Usage Guidelines

To ensure your sauna experience runs smoothly and safely, here are a few key things to know: At Hehku, all private hire bookings are fully attended — we’ll be there from start to finish to manage the sauna, support guests, and guide the experience if requested. You won’t be left to operate the sauna alone. We take care of setup, stove tending, safety, and takedown — so you can relax and focus on enjoying the glow. • We remain on-site for the full duration to manage the stove and monitor heat levels • Guidance and support are available throughout your session if desired • Our saunas typically reach 80–90°C and are fully weatherproof • Guests should listen to their bodies and take cooling breaks as needed • Cold water and light refreshments will be available nearby • A short safety briefing is provided before your session begins • All guests must sign a waiver before using the sauna • Under 16s are welcome only with a guardian present and waiver signed If you have any accessibility needs, questions about your site, or would like to include a guided ritual or wild spa experience, just let us know when booking — we’re here to make your event feel considered, calm, and full of care.

Setup Requirements

Our sauna tent is completely off-grid and portable, but we do need a suitable space to set up safely. Here's what we ask for: • A flat, level area with at least 2.5m x 2.5m of clear space • No overhanging trees or bushes directly above the setup area • Surface can be grass, decking, gravel, or patio • No vehicle access needed – we can carry everything in by foot, as long as there’s a clear and walkable path • A nearby outdoor tap is helpful if you’ve booked the Cold Plunge and Off-Grid Shower If you’re unsure whether your location is suitable, feel free to send us a few photos or a quick video walk-through — we’ll happily advise and help you find the best setup spot.
