Spend a full day discovering Exmoor through its rivers, valleys and coastline on a private wild swimming adventure planned around your group. Led by qualified Open Water Swim Coach and experienced outdoor guide Unity Speakman, this immersive experience combines scenic walking, carefully selected swimming locations and time to explore the landscape at a comfortable pace. Before the day, Unity will speak with you about your group’s swimming experience, walking ability, interests and preferred level of challenge. She will then create an appropriate itinerary, selecting the route and swimming locations according to the weather, tides, river levels and water conditions. Your adventure may include several river or coastal swims, a journey through an Exmoor valley, a longer swim-walk or visits to multiple locations across the day. Where available and appropriate, the itinerary may also include privately accessed or less-discovered waterways. The day begins with a comprehensive safety and equipment briefing before setting out together. Unity will guide the route, share her knowledge of the landscape and support each participant throughout the walking and swimming elements. The full-day format offers more time to travel through the landscape, pause between swims and enjoy a deeper, more varied experience than a shorter guided session. It is particularly suited to established swimming groups, active families, friends visiting the area and anyone looking for an unforgettable day in nature. Participants must already be able to swim at least 50 metres. The planned swimming distances and level of challenge will be tailored to the group. Teenagers aged 12 and over are welcome by prior arrangement and must attend with a supervising adult. A full kit list and detailed meeting instructions will be provided beforehand. Guests should bring their own swimming kit, suitable walking footwear, towels, warm layers, food and sufficient drinks for the day. When requesting your booking, please share your group size, swimming experience, walking ability and what you would most like from the adventure. Your chosen date and start time will remain provisional until Unity has confirmed the itinerary, meeting point and conditions. Available times are indicative. Unity may recommend an earlier start, alternative location or adjusted route to suit weather, tides, river levels and water conditions.

Exmoor, West Somerset and North Devon, including river valleys, moorland waterways, beaches and coastal swimming locations.
