I’m one of the founders of The Forge — a retreat space rooted in fire, craft and landscape, set in the hills of North Wales. Shaped around traditional blacksmithing, wood-fired heat and time outdoors, The Forge is a place for slowing down, learning through making, and reconnecting with elemental rhythm. Alongside our handcrafted sauna, we host small, carefully held retreats that combine fire, craft, rest and shared experience — from seasonal gatherings to immersive workshops and private group stays. Each offering is designed to be grounding, human-scaled and deeply connected to place. Whether joining a retreat, hiring the venue, or coming for a sauna session, guests are welcomed into a space where heat is built slowly, attention is paid, and time is allowed to unfold.
