Start the morning around the working harbour, pick up the South West Coast Path, head inland towards the Lost Gardens of Heligan or spend the day discovering the coves, villages and coastline around St Austell Bay. Then return to Mevagissey for good food, an evening together and somewhere warm to come back to when the weather turns. Harbour House sleeps six across three double bedrooms and has a main bathroom with roll-top bath and walk-in shower, plus an en-suite shower room. There’s also a full kitchen, dining space for six, sitting room and log burner. The Hideaway provides a fourth double sleeping space for two, together with its own kitchenette, walk-in shower room, sofa, dining area and log burner - ideal for grandparents, another couple or anyone who appreciates having a little space of their own. This is Cornwall for people who want to spend more of the day outside. Walk, explore, eat locally, breathe in the sea air and experience the coast beyond the height of summer. In autumn and the quieter months, Mevagissey takes on a slower rhythm that makes it particularly well suited to a few days away. What to expect during your stay

Days here are best shaped around Mevagissey and the coast. Wander down to the harbour in the morning, head out onto the South West Coast Path, discover nearby coves and villages or spend the day exploring around St Austell Bay. Come back to Mevagissey for food and an evening together, then spread out between Harbour House and The Hideaway. Having the two spaces works particularly well for families and groups who want to share the trip while still having a little independence. There’s no fixed itinerary — just plenty of opportunity to walk, explore, eat locally and experience a slower side of Cornwall.

Good to know before booking

The Collection sleeps up to eight guests across four double sleeping spaces — three double bedrooms in Harbour House and a further double sleeping space in The Hideaway. Across the two properties there are three bathrooms​/​shower rooms: Harbour House has a main bathroom with roll-top bath and walk-in shower plus an en-suite shower room, while The Hideaway has its own walk-in shower room. A minimum two-night stay applies. Check-in is from 4pm and check-out is by 10am. Please let the host know your expected arrival time in advance. Cancellation policy: Cancellations made more than 60 days before arrival are eligible for a full refund. Cancellations made between 14 and 60 days before arrival are eligible for a 50% refund. Cancellations made within 14 days of arrival are non-refundable. Mevagissey is a traditional harbour village with narrow streets. Parking is in the village rather than directly outside the property, so guests should be prepared for a short walk with luggage. Pets are welcome by prior arrangement with the host. The accommodation is non-smoking and is not intended for parties or events. Guests are asked to be considerate of neighbours, particularly during the quieter evening and overnight hours. The property has the coast nearby rather than direct water access. If you choose to swim independently, always check weather, tides, local guidance and current conditions before entering the water.
